How does Vytal work?

Vytal uses a three-step process: Sense, Analyze, and Support. It passively collects data from your Apple Watch and iPhone, analyzes it with our Hybrid AI System (combining on-device Core ML and cloud AI), and provides graduated, non-intrusive interventions when needed.

What data does Vytal collect?

Vytal collects physiological vitals (heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen), behavioral patterns, and academic context from your calendar. All data is processed on-device by default, ensuring your privacy.

Is my data private?

Yes! Vytal is built with privacy-first design. All personal data is stored and processed on your device by default. Cloud features are opt-in and protected with end-to-end encryption.

What is the Sync Score?

The Sync Score is a unique metric that compares how you feel with how your body is behaving. A low Sync Score can be an early indicator of burnout or emotional disconnection.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

Yes, Vytal is designed to work with Apple Watch to collect physiological data. The app also uses your iPhone for behavioral and contextual information.
