Physiological Data

Vytal collects physiological vitals from your Apple Watch through HealthKit, including:

• Heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV)
• Blood oxygen levels
• Activity and movement data
• Sleep patterns

Behavioral Data

Through DeviceActivity framework, Vytal collects:

• Digital device usage patterns
• Screen time information

Contextual Data

With your permission, Vytal accesses:

• Calendar information for academic context
• Self-reported mood and wellness data

How We Use Your Information

Vytal uses your data exclusively to:

• Provide personalized health insights and recommendations
• Calculate your Sync Score and detect patterns
• Generate context-aware health insights
• Deliver non-intrusive interventions when needed
• Enable AI-powered conversations (when you opt-in to cloud features)
• Generate Clinician Reports for healthcare professionals

Data Storage and Processing

On-Device Processing

By default, all personal data is stored and processed directly on your device. Our Core ML models run on your iPhone, ensuring that your sensitive health information never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to use cloud features.

Cloud Features (Opt-In)

Cloud features, such as our conversational AI, are always opt-in. When you choose to use these features:

• Your data is protected with end-to-end encryption
• We cannot access your personal information
• You can disable cloud features at any time

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• You decide what data is collected through iOS permission settings
• You can revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings
• You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app
• You can opt-out of cloud features at any time
• You can export your data through the Clinician Report feature

Data Sharing

Vytal does not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes, but this data cannot be used to identify you.

The only exception is when you choose to generate and share a Clinician Report with your healthcare provider.
